Closing the gap between silence and support
Too many New Yorkers face loneliness, grief, caregiver burnout, and life transitions with no one to call. Wellness Peer Programs exists to close that gap — connecting people to a trained, certified peer supporter the moment they need a caring, judgment-free ear, before isolation turns into crisis. We believe a single conversation, offered without cost or condition, can be the difference between someone struggling alone and someone feeling heard.
What We Aim to Accomplish
As a New York not-for-profit organization, our impact is measured in conversations offered, connections made, and isolation reduced — for the people and communities below.
Reach
Older adults facing isolation, family caregivers, and individuals navigating grief or major life transitions — across New York City's five boroughs.
Launch
Recruit and certify a founding cohort of peer supporters, launch a confidential peer support line, and build referral partnerships with NYC senior centers, hospitals, and community organizations.
Growth
Reduce isolation-related distress, strengthen early connection to community resources, and build a peer support model that other NYC nonprofits can replicate.
